Dumbo

Busy cafe with outdoor seating. We managed to grab a seat quite quickly but could see that the cafe is always busy! The coffee was delicious and the food was fantastic. Asian fusion inspired breakfast options, I chose the congee. Wow, it was incredible! Highly recommend this place! Lots of a great options, food comes out pretty quickly and the staff were nice.

It was a lovely experience visiting this cafe with my partner on our usual weekend cafe hunt in footscray area. If you visit them my advice is not to go with your usual breakfast order where you would go for something like eggs bacon and sourdough rather surprise yourself with something different from the menu because this place truly have mixed up different cuisines too bring out vibrant flavors in their dishes. We ordered Japnese eggs and Mushroom Roti with Oat Cappuccino and Oat Latte, both the dishes were amazing and very filling, coffee was great. Surely going back for more.

3.5* Food is classic brunch fare with an Asian/Mediterranean twist. Not bad but nothing wow either. Found the table setting quite odd, they have a huge table that can sit 10-12 people in the middle of the restaurant, so if you're in a medium sized group (5 like ours) you may be placed here.. With the table being about a metre wide it's difficult to have conversation with anyone opposite you.

Definitely love the food here which is a mixture between brunch and asian cuisine. This place is very cosy and cute. We ordered the xo folder egg and Japanese Benedict which both are big portion and yummy. We got a matcha latte and passion mango juice which us so refreshing. Come here a couples of time for a lunch date and absolutely love it!

If you're looking for a more unique brunch menu, you can give this place a go. They have a range of interesting items on the menu, and we decided to try the XO Folded Eggs and the Dan Dan Noodles. I like Dan Dan noodles so I was excited to try Dumbo's version and I was not disappointed. The ground pork was extra crispy and the peanut sauce paired well with the noodles. It's not something I would typically order for brunch, but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. My wife opted for the XO Folded Eggs with a side of grilled mushrooms, and she loved it. The eggs were nice and fluffy and the mushrooms were a great addition. And of course the coffee here was excellent - strong, but not bitter, with that silky smooth texture that's typical of Melbourne-style coffee. Overall, we thought the prices were fair, and the service was great. The location might be a bit odd, but they've made it work, and the fact that it's pet-friendly is a big plus for us! We definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.
